About this construction
Pattern & sewing notes
- Two sectors of a circle, 45° each (60° when the hips need more room); the radius comes from the waist measurement.
- Zipper at the centre back: the back is cut in 2 pieces. Zipper at the side: cut only 2 pieces, a full front and a full back, keeping the straight grain along the centre line of each piece.
- The hip height is used to check that the skirt is wide enough at the hips.
- A waistband can be added to the pattern. After sewing, level the hem.
