These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Tailor Base Patterns (the “Service”), available at tailorbasepatterns.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Tailor Base Patterns generates made-to-measure sewing patterns (bodice, sleeve, and skirt blocks) from body measurements you provide, and delivers them as downloadable PDF and SVG files. The Service is provided as a design tool to assist with garment construction.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
3. Credits and payments
How credits work
Generating a pattern consumes one credit. New accounts receive a number of free credits; additional credits can be purchased in packs. Free credits produce an A4 PDF only; paid credits unlock all formats (A4 PDF, plotter PDF, and SVG).
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in the applicable currency and are inclusive of taxes where required. Credits are granted to your account once payment is confirmed.
Refunds
Credits that have been used to generate a pattern are non-refundable. If a generation fails due to a technical fault on our side, the credit is automatically returned to your account. For any billing issue, contact us at the address below and we will review it in good faith and in accordance with applicable consumer-protection law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with credit limits, payment, rate-limiting, or security features of the Service.
Access the Service through automated means (scraping, bots) except as expressly permitted.
Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service or its underlying pattern-generation engine.
5. Your content and generated patterns
Your measurements
You retain ownership of the measurement data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to generate your patterns and operate the Service.
Generated patterns
Patterns generated from your measurements are yours to use for personal or commercial garment-making. We claim no ownership over the individual patterns you generate. This does not transfer any rights in the Service, its software, algorithms, templates, or branding, which remain our property.
6. No guarantee of fit
Pattern accuracy depends entirely on the accuracy of the measurements you provide. Generated patterns are a starting point, not a finished garment, and:
Seam allowances are not included and must be added when cutting.
A test fitting and adjustments on the real body are expected.
We do not warrant that any pattern will fit perfectly, and we are not responsible for materials, fabric, or time expended in construction.
7. Availability of files
Generated pattern files are made available for download at the time of generation (paid patterns via a time-limited link). You are responsible for downloading and saving your files; we do not guarantee indefinite storage, and regenerating a pattern consumes another credit.
8. Service availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tailor Base Patterns and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of materials, profits, or data arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Credit balances have no cash value and are forfeited on termination for breach.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.
