About this construction
Pattern & sewing notes
- Made by cutting the base skirt into strips and opening them at the hem. The darts close completely and the waist stays exactly as measured.
- Choose a slight, medium or full flare: each cut opens 4 cm, 8 cm or 12 cm at the hem.
- Satin or another fabric that tends to hang on the bias? Consider adding an extra 6 cm to the hip circumference: just go back to the measurements and add 6 cm.
- The centre-back seam has a 2 cm allowance for the zipper; the front is cut on the fold.
